We have been given the chance to do life painting both directed by tutors and self directed since we entered the painting discipline. We began by painting with just three tones of black and gradually moved onto using colour and bigger scale. It has been extremely educating and I have learned a lot in terms of how to paint certain objects, brush strokes and colours. Here are some of my life paintings...
I learned the importance of doing a thumbnail sketch because it enhances the finished painting. I also kept colour cards which identified my palette of colours for each painting.
